THE STEERING COMMITTEE

new me.png

Janice Jones
Whether organizing events, discovering new talent, or keeping all the moving pieces in play from wherever I am, I’m always championing art and artists—especially if good food (preferably most ethic food) is involved. My two spoiled Corgis keep me grounded, but at heart, I’m just a frustrated artist determined to help the Northern Neck thrive as a hub for creativity.

I am the President of J-Art Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and growing the Northern Neck as a vibrant center for creativity and the arts.  I am very proud to be playing a leading role in revitalizing the Northern Neck Artisan Trail, helping connect artists, galleries, and creative businesses throughout the region.

Connie Canby

Connie Canby
I am currently a founding member and Art Director for Artists’ Alliance Co-op at Jarrett Thor Fine Arts in Colonial Beach, VA.  In 2003 I was a founding member and later president of The Colonial Beach Artists Guild.

I grew up in downtown D. C. and attended Corcoran School of Art on a teen scholarship and Maryland School of Art and Design in Silver Spring, Md.   I started teaching at NOVA (Sterling Campus) in 1980.

I taught watercolor and children classes for Loudoun Academy of the Arts, Leesburg, VA. I loved doing summer camps with young people at Shenandoah University, PAVAN Performing and Visual Arts ARTREACH Program in Clarke County, VA. As artist in residence),  Foxcroft School for Girls, Middleburg, VA., and Frederick MD. Kids Like Us Program.

My own artwork has evolved into abstract expressionism, experimental watercolors and some with representational undertones.  The theme most often recognized in my body of work is how color and energy are showcased as they weave their way throughout the painting as well as my life. It’s like taking dictation for a song already written.

Lindsay (Hall) Wozinak

Lindsay  is a creative powerhouse with a flair for design, photography, and boundless energy! She honed her talents at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, majoring in Advertising Design and diving deep into the world of photography. Along the way, she’s racked up over 200 industry awards—yes, 200! We’re talking Webbys (The Oscar of the Internet), Tellys, photography honors, and even a coveted spot in the Art Institute’s Hall of Fame.

In 2005, Lindsay founded Red Fish Studios, LLC, where she’s been making waves ever since. Not only does she lend her creative genius to non-profit charities, but she’s also the brains behind stunning designs, breathtaking photos, a captivating short film, and even a toe-tapping original song. Oh, and did we mention she’s a published author? Her children’s book, Ziva the Zebra, is as delightful as it sounds.

Fast-forward to 2024, and Lindsay’s latest adventure is the Red Fish Gallery, located in the charming town of Irvington, VA, right on the Northern Neck Artisan Trail. This vibrant little gallery is bursting with personality, showcasing art that’s fun, funky, and downright fabulous. It’s small but mighty - just like Lindsay’s boundless creativity!
